Section 5.   B    Teacher Pay Raises for Educational Achievement

  1. All Teachers who are hired who do not have a CDA will earn an hourly pay raise when he/she sends to Training:

    1. Proof of starting the CDA process. This could consist of a document from the school or college where the Teacher has registered to take a CDA course, such as: registration receipt, letter from college personnel verifying enrollment in a CDA course (on college letterhead paper), etc. Also, acceptable proof would be a copy of the first page of the CDA application filled out by the Teacher, and

    2. A statement from the Teacher stating he/she has begun the CDA process and request for a pay raise. The form Teacher's Request for Pay Raise for Educational Achievement (HSeIS - Human Resources) is required for this objective.

  2. All Teachers who have completed their CDA will be eligible for an hourly pay raise when he/she sends to Training:

    1. A clean copy of his/her CDA certificate, and

    2. A statement from the Teacher stating he/she has completed the CDA process and is requesting a pay raise. The form Teacher's Request for Pay Raise for Educational Achievement (HSeIS - Human Resources) is required for this objective.

  3. All Teachers are encouraged to work on their Associate Degree in Child Development if they do not already have one. However, only a Teacher II will receive any pay benefits from the completion of his/her AA degree. For a Teacher II to be eligible for an hourly pay raise when he/she finishes an Associate degree in Child Development, he/she must send to Training:

  4. A clean copy of his/her college transcript that contains a statement to the effect that he/she has completed all requirements for an Associate Degree in Child Development, and

  5. A statement from the Teacher stating he/she has completed the Associate Degree and is requesting a pay raise. The form Teacher's Request for Pay Raise for Educational Achievement (HSeIS - Human Resources) is required for this objective.


  • All Teachers are encouraged to work on their Bachelors Degree in Child Development or Early Childhood Education if they do not already have one. However, only a Teacher II will receive any pay benefits from the completion of his/her Bachelors degree. For a Teacher II to be eligible for an hourly pay raise when he/she finishes a Bachelors Degree in Child Development, he/she must send to Training:

    1. A clean copy of his/her college transcript that contains a statement to the effect that he/she has completed all requirements for a Bachelors Degree in Child Development or Early Childhood Education, and

    2. A statement from the Teacher stating he/she has completed the Bachelors Degree and is requesting a pay raise. The form Teacher's Request for Pay Raise for Educational Achievement (HSeIS - Human Resources) is required for this objective.

    3. The exact amounts of each of these pay raises changes as we get our salary adjustments each year, so it is not feasible to list the amounts in this document. If you have questions about the current amounts contact Human Resources or Payroll.
