Section 1.   B    New Employee Orientation

  1. All new employees are required to participate and complete New Employee Orientation within the first 10 working days of their hire date, or at the first opportunity provided by the Training Department.

  2. New Employee Orientation covers a variety of training that consists of classroom training provided at Central Office and on-the-job training provided at the new employee's workstation.

    1. Agency Operation: This aspect of training includes content areas, such as dress code, organizational chart, use of time clocks, paydays, etc.

    2. Safety Training: This aspect of training includes content areas, such as reporting child abuse, proper way to lift, blood borne pathogens, etc.

    3. Supervisor's Orientation: This aspect of training includes content areas, such as job description, time sheets, disciplinary procedures, etc.

    4. Job Specific Orientation: This aspect of training includes application of job specific procedures and job description performance details.


  3. New Employee Orientation is managed by the Training Department.  The coordinator of this program is Cinithia Melton.

  4. State, Center licensing requires that all Teachers have Orientation records available for auditing at the Center.
