The Head Start Director has program responsibilities over the day-to-day operation of Head Start.
The Head Start Director is responsible for maintaining compliance in all program areas and ensuring that each center in the organization maintains its license and complies with national, state and federal regulations. The Director must maintain the integrity of each content area as relates to federal regulations and Head Start performance standards.
This responsibility includes supervision of the following key people: The Associate Head Start Directors, Early Head Start Director, Education Services Director, the following Resource Associates: Community Development, Family Advocate, Health, Nutrition, Special Services/Mental Health, Substance Abuse, and an Administrative Assistant.
